Set-up at The Loft before our monthly 4×4 team meeting.

If you have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Emery, then you surely know how much her practice means to her. She has referred to Sugar Fix Dental Loft as her “4th baby” on multiple occasions.  This “baby” requires a significant amount of care, attention, and love.

Dr. Emery works tirelessly to ensure that her team is happy and thriving so that we are able to pour our whole selves into making the Loft a happy, welcoming space for our patients. A key ingredient to Dr. Emery’s successful practice is teamwork.

Our staff meets once a month for our “4×4” meeting, which allows each team member to bring any concerns, compliments, or questions to the attention of our entire team. These meetings, also, have designated time to discuss our book-of-the month that Dr. Emery selects for our book club. Last month, we read “Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear” by Elizabeth Gilbert (author of the bestseller “Eat, Pray, Love”). This book was perfect for our team because Dr. Emery strongly encourages us to follow our creative instincts and to share them with our Sugar Fix clientele (like writing this blog).  This month we read, “Who Moved My Cheese?” by Spencer Johnson.  We’ll be discussing it this upcoming Monday.

Daily, our team meets for a “morning huddle” prior to our first scheduled patient. In these meetings, we discuss our plan for the day and make sure no detail goes missed.  Dr. Emery is always sure to recognize any patients that have a birthday coming up… We love surprising them with a cupcake from Dinkel’s Bakery to celebrate! It is this kind of attention to detail that sets Dr. Emery apart from other dentists; not only an amazing dentist, but an incredible boss and team leader.
