Happy Wednesday!
Today is National Women’s Health & Fitness Day. This day is the nation’s largest annual health promotion event for women of all ages. This day focuses attention on the importance of regular physical activity and health awareness for women. And here at Sugar Fix Dental Loft, we are always trying to find new ways to keep up with our good health!
We know you’re busy, but whether you’re a multitasking woman, a college student, or a working professional (or a combination), we encourage you to make time for your health. We know life can get in the way, and we all have had our moments of running through the drive-through to grab a bite to eat or skip the gym because we’re too tired. Everyone has a day where it’s so crazy, that we just forgot to eat, drink some water, or load up on only coffee throughout the day. And we do not realize how much that our improper eating habits, and skipping out on drinking some H20 can do to our body.
A few tips to keep your health in check!
- Not enough time to hit the gym? No problem! It’s been known that doing 10 – 15 minutes of some type of cardio can boost your energy. Before you jump in the shower, do a round of jumping jacks, push-ups, and sit-ups. It’ll get your heart rate up before you even get your first cup of coffee!
- Skip the energy drinks. Lots of late nights? Feeling like you’re running yourself ragged? We’ve all been there! Pass over the candy bar or even the coffee when you need an instant boost and grab a cup of green tea. Green tea in the afternoon is also less likely to interfere with your sleep schedule since it has less caffeine than a coffee per ounce.
- Take a stand. Standing up and walking around even just for a few minutes is enough to jump-start your heart and muscles. Plus, it can help you be more productive once you sit down at your desk again. You’ll feel energized and will zoom through that proposal your boss is wanting before the end of the day.
Dr. Brittany Dickinson is always on her game to keep herself healthy and aware of taking care of her body. She’s an early riser and makes sure to get some time in by the lake every morning to help herself relax and start the day with fresh air! Dr. Dickinson also loves hitting the mat for some hot yoga to get her blood flowing and muscles working!
Make sure to check us out on our social media to keep up with how we are getting in our health and wellness!
Until next time!
